Ingredients

  • ¼ cup (½ stick) unsalted butter
  • ½ cup long-grain white rice (not instant)
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 2 teaspoons chicken better than bouillon base
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

Instructions

  1. Place a large skillet over medium heat and melt the 1/4 cup (½ stick) unsalted butter.
  2. Once the butter has fully melted, add the 1/2 cup long-grain white rice. Stir frequently until the rice turns lightly golden, about 2 minutes.
  3. Pour in 1 1/2 cups water and add 2 teaspoons chicken better than bouillon base. Stir well until the bouillon is completely dissolved.
  4. Mix in the 4 minced garlic cloves, stirring to distribute evenly.
  5. Cover the skillet and bring everything to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and let it cook for 15–20 minutes, or until the rice is tender. Stir once more and serve right away.
